This session will provide new northern campus based UTAS staff with an essential overview of the research environment at UTAS and essential things they should know about conducting research at UTAS including:  
  • Overview of Research Services (10mins);
  • Research Integrity (15mins);
  • Research Funding Administration Support (20mins);
  • Research Funding Applications/Tenders (5mins);
  • Ethics (15mins);
  • Contracts (10mins);
  • Budgets (10mins);
  • Intellectual Property (10mins);
  • Graduate Research Office (5mins);
  • Publications (Handout);

At the end of this session, attendees will confidently be able to access a host of research support services available from the Office of Research Services.

  • Dr Mark Hochman, Senior Advisor: Research Policy & Strategy, Division of Research;
  • Mrs Nicola Hodgman- Manager, UTAS Research Ethics Unit, ORS
