UTAS staff and students are invited to come along and view the three-minute-thesis competition (3MT™) finals which are being held as part of Graduate Research Conference, Sharing Excellence in Research (SEiR).
The three-minute-thesis competition (3MT™) requires a doctoral candidate to present their research using a single PowerPoint slide to a non-specialist but intelligent lay audience in 3 minutes. The competition was developed by the University of Queensland and this is the second year UTAS doctoral candidates are competing for the right to represent the University in a national 3MT competition.
The Graduate Research Conference, is an annual event convened by the Tasmania University Union Postgraduate Council and the Graduate Research Office.
The event aims to bring graduate research candidates from all UTAS campuses and disciplines together for two days to showcase their work - ideas, progress and findings - and the excellence and diversity of graduate research at UTAS.
