Research Summer 2013 sessions are aimed primarily at Education researchers and Research Higher Degree students but would also be beneficial for researchers in the social sciences and humanities areas.
Designing Surveys
Presented by Phillip Patman, this session will cover the basics of questionnaire design and cover the main problems and pitfalls in developing a good survey and key issues in the development of a valid instrument. Particular themes will be sampling, concept development, design considerations including question types with particular emphasis on Likert Scales (agree â disagree type questions), question flow, skip questions, wording of questions, etc.
