Bibliometrics is a powerful tool that can help you secure funding success-used in the right way.
ORS invites all UTAS researchers, research students and research support staff to a workshop on the power of
bibliometrics to measure the impact of research and raise one's research profile.
Presented by an experienced bibliometrician, Dr Amberyn Thomas, Manager, Scholarly Publications with the University of Queensland, this workshop will provide an important insight into the increasing emphasis on
the measurable impact of research and provide you with the tools to access and exploit your bibliometric
profile.
Topics Discussed:
What is bibliometrics and citation analysis?
How does it measure the impact of research?
What can targeted, contexualised metrics-based information do for your research?
How your research impact profile can help your research career?
Presenters Biography:
Dr Amberyn Thomas joined The University of Queensland Library in 2008, and is currently the Manager,
