Be Seen, Be Heard, Be Understood - that's the communication challenge for researchers in this increasingly competitive world. M&M Communications, which has a broad base of private, local Government and State Government clients, can help you meet that challenge through its half-day, intensive media training sessions.
The sessions, for up to six participants per session, will be conducted by Mike Lester and Mark Thomas and an experienced media cameraman, working off an individualised research brief, to give the trainees a realistic experience being interviewed by journalists in front of the camera.
M&M will provide immediate constructive feedback of participants' performances throughout the media training session.
Each participant will be provided with a Media Training Workbook, which includes chapters
on understanding journalists, the who, what why, when and how of news, preparing information for the media and maximising media opportunities, and a DVD of their on-camera performances.
Limited places so be quick to register your interest: media.office@utas.edu.au (subject line: Research Week media training).
This session is open to UTAS researchers only.
