The Australian Federal Government has developed a national strategy for science engagement called Inspiring Australia.
The goal of Inspiring Australia is to "create a scientifically engaged Australia- a society that is inspired by and values scientific endeavour that attracts increasing international interest in its science, that critically engages with key scientific issues and that encourages young people to pursue scientific studies and careers".
This workshop will introduce the aims, methods and outcomes of this initiative, highlighting the many resources and opportunities that exist to help scientists and science organisations to engage peers, industry, and the broader community with their message.
Sector issues and challenges will be discussed, along with case studies in successful science engagement.
UTAS Staff and HDR Students; Business, Industry, Government & Community interested persons are invited to attend.
