Aimed at researchers who would like to learn more about NHMRC project grant funding.
This free lunchtime seminar series will feature experienced NHMRC panel members and successful applicants who will discuss ways to increase your chances of success in the various NHMRC funding schemes.
Each one-hour session will include informal discussion on how NHMRC funding can help your research career, what's needed in a competitive application for the various schemes, and how to plan ahead and build your CV, research ideas and collaborations.
Researchers often underestimate the long-term planning that's needed to develop their ideas and CVs to the point where they will be competitive in NHMRC funding schemes. These sessions will help researchers understand what makes an application competitive, and the steps they can take in the short- and longer-term to meet the expectations of the NHMRC’s funding schemes
All sessions will be video-linked between Hobart and Launceston.
Please BYO lunch.
Speakers inlcude A/Prof Tracey Dickson, Prof Tom Marwick, Prof Stephen Rattigan, Prof Bruce Taylor.
