The workshop will be co-presented by Prof Dom Geraghty, UTas Deputy Dean of Graduate Research and Prof Masud Behnia, University of Sydney. 

Prof Behnia obtained his BS, MS, and PhD from Purdue University in the United States and was Dean of Graduate Studies at Sydney from 2003 to 2008, and he has a wealth of knowledge, supported by facts and figures, about graduate research management.

The workshop will commence with a session about the administration side of graduate supervision, with particular emphasis on the UTas policies and procedures.

Following a short lunch break, Prof Behnia will lead a round table discussion about aspects of graduate supervision, based on questions and issues raised by participants.
