This two hour workshop will give guidance to researchers about how philanthropic grant applications differ from other types of funding applications.

The session will

• include information on how to pitch your grant application to different organisations,
• how to think laterally about your potential research question and outcomes to fit the aims of the funding body,
• give examples of successful applications and
• outline a range of general philanthropic funding opportunities.
