Researchers who join UTAS as an employee, may need to transfer their existing grants and research contracts so that they can continue their work and meet their obligations. To transfer a grant/contract to UTAS, complete the Transfer In Form (20.0KB). Attach the following documents:
The UTAS Office of Research Services will liaise with the university relinquishing the grant/contract, the researcher , and the funding body and when approved, an account will be established by Finance so that the funds can be transferred in to UTAS.
Researchers who are leaving UTAS, and hold an active grant, must notify the Office of Research Services to ensure that we do not breach the terms of the research agreement.
To initiate this process, complete the Notification of Intent to Move form (20.0KB) and forward it to the Office of Research Services. The Office will liaise with the researcher, the head of School, and the legal office to ensure that obligations are met, or the grant is transferred to the new University.
One Notification of Intent to Move form must be completed for each research grant to be transferred.
The form must be signed by ALL investigators on the grant, as well as the Head of School. (Note: If the Head of School is CI, then the Dean must sign the Certification.)
