ARC Discovery Projects

The Discovery Projects scheme provides funding for research projects that can be undertaken by individual researchers or research teams.

Assessments for 2014 ARC Discovery Projects became available in RMS on Tuesday 4th June 2013. Key dates for the preparation and sunmission of rejoinders are listed below:

• Rejoinders - Internal (UTAS) Deadline: C.O.B. Tuesday 11th June 2013
  
  
• Rejoinders - External (ARC) Deadline: Monday 17th June 2013
  
  
• Rejoinder information session: Friday 7th June 2013, 3:30pm-4:20pm
  Venues: Sandy Bay:SB.SocSci210 Video Conference Rm (SB.AX17.L02.210); Newnham (video):NH.X117 Video Conference Room (NH.BE21.L01.117)

How to Access Your Rejoinder - Helpful Tips For UTAS Applicants

Accessing your rejoinder: The ARC web link above includes a step-by-step visual guide on accessing your assessments, and preparing/e-submitting your rejoinder within RMS. Please note:

• Your assessments and rejoinder are located within your DP14 Proposal in RMS.
  
• To access your assessments and rejoinder, please click on the ‘Proposals’ link on your RMS main page. Select ‘DP14 Round 1’ from the drop down list for ‘Scheme Round’ and then click on the ‘Search’ button to show your Proposals. Your assessments and rejoinder are accessible as individual ‘tabs’ within the Proposal.
  
• All participants listed on the proposal with ‘Edit’ rights can view, edit and e-submit rejoinders to UTAS ORS.
  Rejoinders have a character limit of 5,000 characters including spaces. If you exceed this limit you will not be able to successfully ‘Submit’ your rejoinder to UTAS ORS.
  

If you have forgotten your RMS password or User ID please select ‘Reset Password’ or ‘Retrieve User Name’ link on RMS log-in page and follow the prompts.

• support excellent basic and applied research by individuals and teams;
• enhance the scale and focus of research in the National Research Priorities;

• enhance international collaboration in research;
• foster the international competitiveness of Australian research.
