Funding rules for the ARC Future Fellowships scheme have now been released at http://www.arc.gov.au/ncgp/futurefel/ft_fundingrules.htm
The 2014 Future Fellowship due date has not yet been released by the ARC. For indicative timelines, refer to the ARC Important Dates page. It is expected applications will be due to UTAS ORS late October/early November 2013.
Future Fellowships promote research in areas of critical national importance by giving outstanding researchers incentives to conduct their research in Australia.
A Future Fellowship provides an investigator's salary for four years.
The objectives of the Future Fellowships scheme are to:

UTAS will determine its applicant field via a mandatory Internal Nomination process to ensure that the University’s applicant field is closely aligned with the core requirements of the Future Fellowship scheme. Internal nominations will require submission of the Candidate Application Form and Faculty Nomination Statement to central ORS (research.funding@utas.edu.au) by 11 September 2013.

A suite of useful templates to assist you in compiling your proposal will be made available here when the round is open. In the interim, we advise the following:
Ensure you have subscribed to the UTAS ORS mailing lists, particularly Research Bulletin and ARC Updates: research.update@utas.edu.au
Familiarise yourself with previously successful UTAS applications with a request to Research.Funding@utas.edu.au
Ensure you have an ARC RMS account of, if you have an account, that your personal details are up to date: http://www.arc.gov.au/applicants/system_default.htm
Ensure that our publications data is up to date with guidance from a UTAS Research Librarian (Chris.Evans@utas.edu.au)
