The online Research Professional database provides a comprehensive funding opportunities database offering researchers the opportunity to search for research funding in all disciplines, from a wide range of sponsors in Australia and overseas.
All funding opportunities in the database are eligibility verified for Australian researchers. The database has a user-friendly interface and features powerful searching and customisation tools designed to assist in searching for research funding.
The University of Tasmania (UTAS) subscribes to the Research Professional database, and use of it is free of charge for all UTAS employees and students. Within the UTAS network, the database may be searched by browsing to the following web site: http://www.researchprofessional.com. Using the database on any computer outside of the UTAS network requires a personal profile to be created.

There are three user guides available that are designed for those with varying degrees of familiarity and proficiency with the database:

Registration for a personal account is quick and free, and initially requires the use a computer within the UTAS network to browse to: http://www.researchprofessional.com, click on the 'Register' button in the top right hand of the page, and complete the form.

Each School and Faculty can elect to set up a research team, profile for a large number of users. Each user within the group will receive weekly funding opportunities according to the profile.
