Research funding administered by NHMRC is organised into three categories:

These provide funding to support the research undertaken to promote the health of Australians. The Project Grants Scheme is the NHMRC’s main avenue of support for individuals and small teams of researchers undertaking biomedical, public health and health services research in Australian universities, medical schools, hospitals and other research institutions. |

| Infrastructure Support grants | These provide funding to support the infrastructure required to complete health and medical research in Australia. |
| People Support grants and fellowships | These provide funding to support the people required to complete health and medical research in Australia. |

Research Grants Management System (RGMS)
The RGMS is the NHMRC’s grants administration, reporting and awarded grants system.RGMS allows users to:
- submit and manage grant applications online and
- maintain a Curriculum Vitae (CV)
Applicants who are not yet registered on RGMS, should contact the Research Help Centre on help@nhmrc.gov.au for more information.

Second draft proposal** to assessors due. Fully developed research plan, CI roles, CI track records, justified budget.

*NHMRC Fellowship applicants: Please complete and submit an NOI by 2 November. Fellowship applicants will be assessed under a review process which is separate to the Project Grant Review.
