The immediacy and availability of the Arts through new media can be incredibly stimulating when making, responding to and sharing the Arts. New media offers new opportunities for students to make and respond in the Arts and schools are uniquely placed to enable a new generation of arts making and responding. Since the development of the World Wide Web, ways of engaging with the Arts have changed radically, and interactive technologies ensure the Arts are now far more accessible than ever before. This is one of the single most important developments to impact upon participation and engagement in the Arts in recent years. Candidates for this scholarship would explore the application of digital technologies to: Arts education (Dance, Drama, Media Arts, Music and Visual Arts) in primary and early childhood contexts, and/or secondary schools, or through e-Learning in higher education.
