The analysis of Roman domestic archaeology has been one of the most progressive fields of research over the past decade, revealing a great deal of information for both archaeologists and historians alike. While much of this research has focused upon centres such as Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Ostia, there is also a great deal of research opportunities from the Roman provinces as well, such as in North Africa, Britain and Egypt. This project will further understanding of these structures both as works of architecture (and on some occasions quite influential ones) and as sources of information for modern understandings of domestic lifestyles and social interaction.
