Pharmaceutical sciences research is a rapidly growing area of activity within the School of Pharmacy. Led by Glenn Jacobson and Christian Narkowicz, research is focused strategically on areas of natural advantage in Tasmania, such as access to unique natural resources, state-of-the-art instrumentation and a readiness within the scientific community to collaborate on cross theme projects. Engagement with local, national and international industry provides access to pharmaceutical-industry linked projects and potential commercial outcomes.

• Proteomic and peptideomic markers as potential diagnostics
• Veterinary pharmaceutics
• Heparin-derived GAGs as potential therapeutic agents in neurological disease and cancer
