Telehealth Service Development: Improving health outcomes for people in rural/remote areas.

An elite scholarship is available in health service development targeting health outcome improvements for people living in rural and remote areas. A multicentre clinical trial approach will be taken that compares the outcomes for patients receiving specialist care via telehealth and those receiving traditional care or having to travel extensively to receive care.

This project will involve process mapping, soft systems analysis and running a clinical trial. Ideally applicants should have strong links with a clinical agency. Areas of interest include complex wound management including burns or ulcers, emergency care or chronic disease management.
