The International Postgraduate Research Scholarships (IPRS) are funded by the Australian Government and cover international tuition fees for students enrolled full-time in a higher degree by research at the University of Tasmania. The IPRS also provides Overseas Student Health Cover for recipients and their dependants.
The University of Tasmania will also provide a living allowance, in 2013 AUD $24,653 per year, to IPRS recipients.
All applicants are advised to read the Conditions of Award (PDF 126KB) prior to submitting an application.
Applicants should submit an Application for Admission and Scholarship for Higher Degree Research Candidature and indicate they wish to be considered for an IPRS.
The Endeavour Postgraduate Awards provide financial support for international students to undertake a Masters or PhD qualification, for up to 2 years for a Masters and 3.5 years for a PhD in any field of study.

Please note that applications for these awards are submitted directly to DIISRTE.
Applications for candidates commencing in 2013 closed 30 June 2012.
This prestigious award is offered to students who are citizens of the United States of America, Canada, Chile, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Sweden, the United Kingdom and Australia who wish to pursue a doctoral or masters degree by research at the University of Tasmania.

These scholarships are offered to students from Chile who wish to study a doctoral degree at the University of Tasmania, particularly in the areas of marine science, fisheries, climate change, aquaculture, agriculture and forestry. Further information on these scholarships is here.
