The Research Degrees Committee (RDC) is responsible for the programs of study and research leading to a research higher degree. The functions of the Committee, which are defined in its Terms of Reference, are to provide advice to the Research College Board on matters relating to graduate research, including:
The Committee membership is comprised of one Head of School, three Graduate Research Coordinators, a postgraduate representative and the two Associate Deans (Graduate Research). The Dean of Graduate Research chairs RDC meetings and represents it on other University bodies including Academic Senate and the Research College Board.
The Dean welcomes discussion from any interested parties on issues relating to graduate research at the University of Tasmania.
