Low risk applications may be submitted at any time, as these are assessed by the Chair of the HREC on behalf of the full committee. Please note that low risk applications requesting a waiver of consent submitted to the Health and Medical HREC must be reviewed by the full HREC in accordance with section 2.3.5 of the National Statement. Please see the Health and Medical HREC meeting and submission dates for further information.
Full and prior approval applications must be received by monthly submission dates. You can view the upcoming submission dates on the following pages:

Please submit:
- A complete electronic copy (which may be unsigned). It is very important that the electronic copy of the application contains all attachments, as this is used to process your application.

A signed copy of your application to the appropriate Ethics Officer. Please note for applications to the Health and Medical HREC, you will be required to submit a copy of the approved application signed by the Chief Investigator and Head of School/Institute/Department prior to final approval being issues.
Once your application has been received and processed, it will be given a unique ethics reference number. You will need this number each time you contact the office in relation to your project.
