Creating Impact from Your Research

About Us

The Business Development and Technology Transfer (BD&TT) office is committed to helping the University's academic community create triple-bottom line impacts (economic, social and environmental) from our research outputs.

BD&TT also play a key role in broadening and strengthening the relationships the University has with the partners it works with to deliver those impacts.

In addition to cultivating new partnerships, BD&TT seek to maximise our research impacts by representing the University's interests whenever the rights to use or commercialise University-owned intellectual property (IP) are being negotiated.

BD&TT Mission is two-fold:

  1. promote and facilitate the translation of research outcomes into benefits for the University's stakeholders, and
  2. identify, build and foster relationships with targeted partners to allow UTAS to maximise the impacts of its research.
