The University of Tasmania invites all of our research stakeholders along to our week of free seminars, events and workshops to find out how our research is transforming the state, the nation and the globe through engagement, collaboration and innovation.

Incorporating UHack 2016: Innovate Tasmania and the 10th Annual Graduate Research Conference.

Expression of Interest

We would like to welcome your involvement in the development of the Research Week program and are currently seeking Expressions of Interest.

The thematic focus of the Research Week 2016 program will be on the essential research characteristics of engagement, collaboration and innovation.

Whilst all proposals will be considered, those suggestions that fulfil one or more of these areas of focus will be given priority.

Examples of such proposals may include those which:

  • Showcase University of Tasmania research that solves real world problems for local and global community benefit.
  • Exemplify mechanisms that support engaging and collaborating with partners.
  • Support multi- and trans-disciplinary approaches to solve research questions.
  • Tell a story about UTAS research through impact and engagement.
  • Increase public awareness and understanding of University of Tasmania research strengths and capabilities;
  • Encourages partnership and thought leadership between science, civil society and all tiers of government to create shared ownership of problems and their solutions;
  • Contributes to the training and education of our next generation of researchers in academia, industry, government and beyond.
