The preliminary title for my thesis is: "Tasmanian Indigenous people's interaction with the Christian church and the emergence of an Indigenous-Christian identity and praxis."

I am researching the ways in which Indigenous Tasmanians have incorporated the Christian faith into their cultural and spiritual identity and practice. The five research areas are: pre-contact religious expression; 1803 - 1833 the first Indigenous Christians; 1833 - 1847 the development of an Indigenous Christian identity at Wybalenna; Furneaux Islands Indigenous Christian experience; Twentieth century experience; and Contemporary Indigenous Christian experience.
