Colleen is project managing the eHIE project, a collaboration between RCS, General Practice North West and the Cradle Coast Authority.
eHIE's vision is to develop a regional community of practice in which electronic patient health records can be shared across healthcare organisations in North West Tasmania, providing secure access to accurate, relevant informaiton at the point of care. Secondary use of collated information will inform health service planning.
Over the next two years the project will aim to increase the quality and flow of information exchanged, establish a culture and expectation of information sharing, and drive adoption and continuous improvement of value-adding technologies and information systems.
The $1.2 million project is funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing (DoHA).
Colleen has a background in perioperative clinical nursing working in a variety of public and private settings in New Zealand, Australia and England.
Colleen has also worked with a Division of General Practice and the Rural Clinical School in Western Australia.
