Congratulations to Dr Corinne Ginifer who was recently nominated for a National award to recognise excellence in post-graduate medical education.
The nomination was put forward by the Postgraduate Medical Education Council of Tasmania, to the national body (CPMEC), at their annual conference which was held recently in Perth. The National award was given jointly to the NT and Vic nominees.
The state and national acknowledgement of Corinne's invaluable work in the training, supervision and support of junior doctors is a matter for great celebration.
Corinne is Director of Clinical Training at the THO - North West in a conjoint DHHS/PMCT role and also works closely with Rose Winter, Medical Education Advisor at the Rural Clinical School, to support the vertical integration of medical education and promote rural career pathways for graduates and junior doctors. Those who work with Corinne appreciate the enormous investment of time and effort that she makes to the well-being of junior doctors in this region and are very pleased that this contribution has been acknowledged and celebrated at a national forum.
