The inaugural Rotary Club of Burnie Scholarship in Rural Medicine has been awarded to Year 4 Rural Clinical School medical student Chase Medwin.
The Rotary Club scholarship is offered to a student commencing the final two years of clinical studies in the MBBS at the University of Tasmania's Rural Clinical School, in 2012.
The Rotary club generously provides the scholarship to encourage and support a student with an interest in rural medicine to study at the Rural Clinical School. The $5000 scholarship is offered over a two-year period and in addition to financial support, the Club will provide honorary club membership and offer to mentor the recipient during his studies in North West Tasmania.
