Tall Poppy award for nutritionist

A nutrition researcher at the University of Tasmania’s Centre for Rural Health has been named the 2017 Tasmanian Young Tall Poppy for her work examining the link between the compounds that give plants their colour and human health.

Dr Katherine Kent received the award, which is run by the Australian Institute of Policy and Science, on November 9. It was presented as part of the University’s annual Vice-Chancellor’s Awards event in Sandy Bay.
