Profile
Dr Quynh Lê is a Senior Lecturer in Rural Health, Graduate Research Coordinator of the University Department of Rural Health, University of Tasmania. Her current teaching and research interests include social determinants of health through multilevel analysis and spatial analysis, GIS Mapping, migrants’ health and wellbeing, cultural and diversity health, population health, food security, and application of information technology (IT) in health and education. Quynh has over 100 intensive publications include peer-reviewed journal articles, books, book chapters, research reports and conference papers. She has been invited to peer-review journal articles and has been member of several Editorial Boards. Although she has started her academic appointment since 2006, she has gained 10 grants in the health-related area and supervised successfully 4 PhDs and 2 Masters of Medical Science students. Her research methodology expertise includes both quantitative and qualitative approaches, including competent knowledge and skills in SPSS, Nvivo, and Spatial Analysis/Statistics. She has conducted research and supervised research students in interdisciplinary studies. She has made a significant contribution to research in a global context through organising international research conferences in Australia-Asia area and editing international research journals.
