Stuart Auckland has extensive experience in rural community development, having worked as project manager/researcher in a diverse range of research and project activity in the area of community health development. Stuart has an employment background in the corporate, government and academic sectors. His initial work was in the area of natural resource management/Landcare prior to moving to rural health in 2000. Stuart is currently the Coordinator of the Community Health Development Theme area at the Centre for Rural Health. Stuart's current interests lie in the studies of food security, population health and in particular farmer family health, community development and health impact assessment.
