The Rural Social Research Group in TIAR was established in 2002  to undertake social research that is relevant to agriculture and natural resource management  in order to improve the quality of life in rural and regional areas, to promote better understanding of rural and regional social issues amongst decision makers and management agencies, and to contribute to a socially, ecologically, and economically sustainable future for rural and regional communities. It was closed in 2010. This website is for archival purposes and will not be updated in the future.
