SALS Checklist of Unit Coordinator's Tasks

 

•  Prepare unit outline, ensuring that it is compliant with University policy

•  Conduct regular review of the unit with all teaching staff, including strengths and weaknesses of unit and plans for improvement, and report outcomes to Head of School. Report to Head of School on all matters pertaining to the unit

•  Provide advice to students

•  Provide advice and guidance to casual staff and others teaching the unit

•  Ensure that all staff teaching the unit are familiar with relevant University policies

•  Assist, where necessary, in the selection and preparation of teaching materials

•  Prepare promotional materials for unit

•  Set assessment tasks, including exams

•  Develop assessment criteria for all assessment tasks

•  Monitor student progress regularly

•  Consider and assess cross-institutional requests

•  Compile final results for all students

•  In consultation with other staff, moderate final results, where necessary
