Head of School, and Director of Teaching and Learning During the period of 2007-2009 I am the Head of School of Psychology. In addition I will be the Director of Teaching and Learning in the School. This is my area of interest and I am involved in a number of projects university wide, including the Faculty Teaching Fellows program. I am based in Launceston where I have teaching duties and will be spending 2 days a week on the Hobart campus
Introductory Psychology Research Methods and Data Analysis Organisational Psychology Educational Psychology
Human Factors in the Workplace: this area involves the examination of aspects of human functioning and their impact on work performance. It also involves examination of the interaction between human operators and the equipment they use in order to enhance performance and avoid human error.
Another area of research interest is workplace conflict and conflict resolution appraoches. I have spent the last few years examining the assumptions behind the Dual Concern Model as the basis for models of conflcit resolution.
