Students in Years 4 -6 have the chance to work on 2 - 3 inquiry based activities with University staff and students, and to find out what it's like to work as a scientist. Participating teachers get ideas for activities to take back to the classroom and a resource book.
Presented by the Faculty of Science, Engineering & Technology and the Faculty of Education as part of National Science Week, the UTAS Science Fair involved over 600 students, 60 teachers and 30 presenters in 2011.
In 2012, the UTAS Science Fair will be held on 3 - 4 September at the Activities Centre, UTAS Sandy Bay campus.
