Why is it important to repeat experiments?
- Even with sufficient sample size and duplicated treatments in an
experimental design it is still possible that the results may be due to
a chance factor not considered in the original design.
- To guard against this, experiments need to be repeatable.
- The repeat experiments can be done by an independent scientist or
ideally by the original investigator so that they are confident with
their results.
