The Director of Service Delivery will work with the staff accountable for the delivery of services in the Divisions and the Faculties and Institutes to realise collaborative opportunities for improvement in service delivery and foster a culture of service improvement into the future.

The approach will draw together the collective experience and expertise of managers across the university in the following broad areas:

• Senior management of client oriented services.
• Strategic and operational planning, policy development, and financial and quality management.
• Initiation and delivery of business improvement projects with a large organisational footprint.
• Leadership in motivating, developing and guiding staff through change in their working environment.
• Embedding service oriented values and ethical standards both in the provision of services and in working relationships with staff.
• Negotiation, consultation, and the resolution of conflict.
• Extensive knowledge of UTAS administrative functions; of relevant legislation, policies and procedures; and an understanding of University decision-making structures and procedures.
