MyPassword for Windows

eduroam

NOTE: UTAS will transition away from the UConnect Wireless service beginning in Q2 2015. If you are still connecting to UConnect, you should now reconnect using eduroam.

We recommend you set your Windows Notebook or Surface device to Forget eduroam prior to changing your password, then Reconnect eduroam. Please refer to the user guide below to assist with these steps:

Windows 7, Vista, 8, and 8.1:

  1. Open list of available wireless networks
  2. Right-click on eduroam
  3. Click Forget this Network
  4. Right-click on eduroam again and click Connect
  5. You will be prompted for username and your new password - ensure you enter your full formal email address as your username.

Windows 10:

  1. Click the Network icon in the lower right corner of the screen
  2. Click Network Settings
  3. Click Manage Wi-Fi settings
  4. Under Manage known networks, click eduroam
  5. Click Forget
  6. Click the Network icon in the lower right corner of the screen
  7. Right-click on eduroam and click Connect
  8. You will be prompted for username and your new password - ensure you enter your full formal email address as your username.

You have now successfully updated your password for this service.

Outlook

  • No password update required, please log off and log back onto your computer for changes to be automatically updated to this service

Lync

  • No password update required, please log off and log back onto your computer for changes to be automatically updated to this service

VPN

  • No password update required, please log off and log back onto your computer for changes to be automatically updated to this service

Browser Passwords

  • No password update required, the browser will prompt for updated credentials

  • The VPN application will prompt you to update your password when the application is re-opened.

  • Browser passwords will prompt you to update your password when the page is re-opened.

VPN

If you have updated your password while connected to the University of Tasmania VPN, we recommend you complete the following steps:

  1. Disconnect VPN session once your password has been updated
  2. Log back into the VPN application, using your New Password
  3. Lock your computer by selecting CTRL+ALT+Delete on your keyboard and clicking Lock
  4. Log back into your computer with your New Password

You have now successfully updated your password for this service.

eduroam

Outlook

  • Close Microsoft Outlook and re-open it. No password change will be required for this service

Lync

  • Close Microsoft Lync and re-open it. No password change will be required for this service

Browser Passwords

  • No password update required, the browser will prompt for updated credentials
