Wikis & Knowledge Base

A wiki is a website or collection of web pages that allows people with access (wiki members) to collaborate and share information with each other. Wikis use a simple wiki markup language that means a wiki is typically easier to manage & update than standard websites using HTML. Wikipedia is probably the most well-known example of a wiki.

UTAS uses Atlassian Confluence software for wikis and there are currently two wiki platforms available: Knowledge Base and UTAS Wikis.

Knowledge Base

Knowledge Base is an an internal wiki for UTAS staff used primarily as a knowledge management tool.

Learning Services can also help with the initial structure and set up of the wiki.

Training can be provided for any level of wiki user (beginner through to advanced administrator).
