DVC's Welcome
From Professor David Rich
Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) and Provost
I would like to invite you to attend this year’s Service Matters Conference which will be held on Wednesday 3 September 2008 in the University Centre at the Sandy Bay Campus. Previous Service Matters conferences have been extremely successful and Service Matters is now well established as an annual event on the UTAS calendar.
The theme of this year’s conference is: Service Matters – to me, my customers, my community and my environment. General and academic staff are invited to come together to network, share ideas, and explore opportunities to develop the quality and distinctiveness of the UTAS experience.
Inspirational and exciting speakers will focus on the themes of customer service, both internal and external, community engagement, both within the University itself and with the outside community, and how UTAS can operate in a sustainable and environmentally responsive manner.
I encourage all staff to put this date aside in their diaries and join me and other key UTAS leaders in a day of stimulating discussion and debate.
Transport will be provided for staff from northern campuses. Morning tea and lunch will be provided, as well as drinks to close the conference day.
The program and registration details will be available on this site from Friday 1 August 2008.
I look forward to seeing you on 3 September 2008.
UTAS would like to thank Corporate Express for sponsoring the lively and topical key note speaker, Gilbert Rochecouste from Village Well in Victoria |
