All researchers interested in place-based and cross-sector approaches to social change are invited to a special workshop with Dame Julie Cleverdon, UK-based leader and activist (see www.juliacleverdon.com). Dame Cleverdon is known for her work in promoting cross-sector collaboration across business, government and community sectors.

Dame Cleverdon established the Prince's Charities 'Place Strategy' (www.princeofwalescharitablefoundation.org.uk/node/58) which takes a cross-sector approach to working with disadvantaged communities in the UK. This two-hour seminar is an opportunity to meet Dame Cleverdon, hear about her work and discuss own own experiences and the role of research in supporting and catalysing place-based change.
