Shadow has moved to Hobart from the ACT, where he did a creative Honours in English Literature at the University of Canberra. His project, entitled "That Which Becomes The Unseen", focused on Western supernatural narrative forms as depicted in manga and anime, and included a companion Light Novel (a Japanese form of novella), entitled "Monsters Amongst Us: The Unseen".
Moving from English Lit into Media and Communications, Shadow is continuing his research into supernatural narrative within Japanese media forms. His current research project is on the notions of cognitive dissonance, delusion and paradox and their affects on narrative structure and plot/character development. Shadow is also an accomplished writer within many different fields and has a broad ranging undergraduate profile that includes Creative Writing, English Lit, Film Studies and Philosophy.
