Elly's PhD thesis is on 'Realities of Rurality'. It is a cross-generational perspective of rural life and amenity migration to Tasmania that links to other work investigating the phenomenon of 'seachange'.
Elly is interested in ethnographical studies of unique societal spaces such as rural Tasmania, and youth engagement in these spaces.
