Nicholas Hookway has recently completed his PhD, which focused on everyday understandings and practices of morality using Australian blogs or online diaries. This study forms a part of his wider interest in how subjects grapple with questions of meaning and morality in contemporary social life. His theoretical hero is Zygmunt Bauman.
His other areas of research interest are kindness, religion and spirituality, new media and internet and online research methodologies.
