Lisa is a demographer with a specific interest in the workforce and the labour market as well as the interrelated nature of population ageing and economic development policies.
Lisa holds a Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Arts (Hons) and a Graduate Diploma of Education (Secondary). Prior to commencing her PhD, Lisa worked in the public sector as well as running her own business and consulting services.
Lisa’s PhD research project is entitled “Skill Utilisation in Australia: a response to the proposed 3Ps solution to the implications of population ageing”. Using a range of demographic research methods applied to population level data (in this instance ABS Census of Population and Housing), Lisa intends to identify those socio-demographic factors which may contribute to the underutilisation or mismatch of skills in the labour market. Lisa hopes her findings will contribute to both economic development strategies and labour market policy development.
Lisa's research publications can be found here via WARP
