Build a global media empire in Semester 2 at UTAS. Enrol now in HEJ330 Research Project in Journalism, Media & Communications: Behind Anime Lines.

• Explore a major media phenomenon while producing content for radio, web and podcast on the weekly media program Behind Anime Lines;
• develop a framework to understand new modes of storytelling and content creation in radio, web and online;
• immerse yourself in a deeper experience of anime & manga, film, TV, video games, and pop music from Asia;
• explore a transmedia approach which has emerged from major media companies such as DC and Marvel comics, Disney, Studio Ghibli, Bad Robot, HBO and Lucasfilm;
• listen to guest speakers from the media industry discuss their experiences developing and circulating content through cross-platform strategies.

Put these ideas into action with regular workshop meetings coordinated by Dr Craig Norris in the Media Lab where you will work with a team of fellow students to create and deliver weekly content and assessment material. This unit is open to all year levels.
