Human Resources is pleased to advise that a variety of professional development activities will again be available for staff to attend over the course of 2011.
Human Resources has joined forces with the Tasmanian Training Consortium (TTC) to provide staff with access to a wider range of professional development activities, which will be offered through the TTC. Human Resources will also continue to offer “in-house” programs throughout the year and staff will be advised of these as they are scheduled.
So, how will staff find out about what TTC programs are available? On a bi-monthly basis Human Resources will update staff via email on upcoming professional development programs that the TTC will be running. Staff interested in attending any of these programs can register their interest directly with the TTC.
Staff members will require the approval of their Head of Budget Centre to register for any of these programs as they are not funded from the central Staff Development Budget. However, as the University is a member organisation of the TTC staff registering for TTC programs will receive a discount on the normal registration fee.
The TTC provides training in a wide range of areas such as people management, customer service skills, communication skills, computer skills, project management, writing skills and presentation skills.
