Dr Bernardo A. León de la Barra will be taking part in Engagement Australia’s Relationships and Partnerships Committee. Some of the goals of the committee include the development of a partnerships strategy, and the development of an integrated communications and marketing strategy.
This is how Engagement Australia describes part of its mission: “While acknowledging that Engagement Australia began in higher education, its future will also encompass individuals, business, industry and community-based organisations who are committed to supporting the growth of a culture of university–community engagement. Authentic relationships, networks and partnerships that lead to mutual benefit and reciprocity while supporting its “core business” activity are key attributes of an engaged organisation. University members will benefit from closer ties to other community based organisations.”
