The UTAS USF was initiated and endorsed by the Quality Committee in May 2011 to facilitate the development and testing of standards for the University. The aim was to develop a comprehensive standards framework that could be used for regulatory, self-improvement and self-enhancement purposes. The USF currently encompasses six key dimensions;
Each of the six dimensions is composed of a set of standards, indicators and performance measures that were developed based on their capacity to measure and improve practice. Version1 of the USF was endorsed as a strategic planning document in October, 2012. Plans are also underway to expand the framework to include additional dimensions e.g. Finance and Human Resources.
Additional information about the development of a University Standards Framework at UTAS is available in the 2012 Final Report.
