Beyond Graduation Survey (BGS)
The Beyond Graduation Survey (BGS) is a national survey of higher education graduates conducted 3 years after completing a course of study. It is managed by Graduate Careers Australia (GCA).
It investigates a number of key aspects of graduates' post-study lives, including their labour market activities, any further study undertaken, a review of some aspects of their course experience, and a self-assessment of their generic employability skills, both after course completion and at the present time.
The target population of the BGS consists of graduates who provided a valid response to the corresponding Australian Graduate Survey (AGS). For example in 2012, the BGS was sent to 2009 participating graduates.
The 2012 UTAS report of the BGS is available here [PDF 663KB].
