Julia joined PASS in 2011, bringing to the program experience in administration and a teaching qualification. As the PASS coordinator, Julia manages the coordination, implementation and evaluation of the university-wide PASS program. She is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation and strategic development of the PASS Program at UTAS, recruiting, training, supervising and supporting a large, multi-campus team of PASS Leaders and Mentors.
Julia is currently leading a project to develop a peer learning environment, modelled on PASS, for a broader range of students. This project includes the development of PASS for distance students in an online environment as well as a post graduate iteration of the program. These new streams of PASS will give all students the opportunity to connect with their peers and develop independent learning skills, assisting them to be successful in their studies and to get the most out of their time at UTAS.
Julia is interested in the effects of PASS on different cohorts and how the peer learning environment can be developed to maximise its impact for all students.
